A visit from Leicester Police

Today we were very lucky to have a visit from Sargent Wilson and The Dog Squad from Leicester Police. The children had an amazing time and learnt a lot about the police. Every child was able to sit in the police car and press the siren and meet Tammy the police dog. Thank you so much to Sargent Wilson and Leicester police for giving the children an experience they will never forget!

The Lighthouse Keeper's Rescue

This week we have been reading the Lighthouse Keeper's Rescue story. We have been putting the story in the correct order using story maps. I was particularly impressed with Lily's story map this week, as she was so reflective, and really thought about the different events in the story.

Well done, Lily!

When we opened our classroom doors today, we were greeted by a whole class of superheroes! We dressed up today to raise money for a very good cause called 'Cash for Kids', which raises money for Rainbows Hospice for children, with all the money remaining in the East Midlands. So far this morning we have raised £102.00, with still more to come in.

All the Early Years staff and children would like to say a BIG thank you to all the parents/carers who have generously donated money today. It really does help and teaches our children to think about others who are less fortunate than them.

Thank you to Miss Batten for organising this special day for us.

Take a look at some of our photographs.....
