Muddy Monday

We worked in teams to make a suitable home for a fox. We looked a pictures of fox dens and then gathered sticks and logs to make our our Fox home.

Spring Term 1


Welcome back after your Christmas break, we hope you had a relaxing two weeks. We would like to give a special warm welcome to our new Nursery children who have started with us this term. We hope this is the start of a wonderful Kimberley Primary school journey!

This half term our topic is " Into The Woods". We started our first week back looking at winter and reading some woodland stories. 


It's nearly Christmas....

29.11.19                                 A visit to Kimberley Library


Today we visited Kimberley Library to share some stories. We would like to thank the staff at Kimberley Library for having us and all the parents who came to support us. We look forward to another visit later in the year.

27.11.19                                    Kipper's Birthday Party


We held a birthday party for Kipper. Over two weeks we made our decorations, wrote and made our own cards, bought ingredients for our cake and made one. At our party we played birthday games and enjoyed some party food. Good fun was had by all!

21.11.19                                          A walk into Kimberley


Today Nursery and Reception walked down to Kimberley to buy some items for our birthday party next week. We visited Wilko's, The Card Factory and Heron. We bought two presents for Kipper the dog, ingredients to make his cake and some decorations. All the children we very well behaved and enjoyed their shopping trip.

15.11.19                                    Children in Need


Today to raise money for Children in Need we caught the bus to Awsworth Primary School and took part in some activities with their Nursery Class. The children were so well behaved and had lots of fun!




This week we will be celebrating Autumn and learning about what happens when it gets's to Autumn.

4.11.19                                Celebrations

This week we launched our Autumn 2 topic 'Celebrations'. First day back we held a Diwali craft morning for the children to learn about how Diwali is celebrated and the story of Rama and Sita. The next few days were just as busy as we celebrated Bonfire Night with more crafts, bonfire displays, firework dances and poems. We have had a great start to our topic take a look below.


  Muddy Monday

This week we focused on working as a team to build a den. We learnt how to fasten it to the fence and ground safely. Everyone had a go at using a mallet to hammer in the tent pegs. All the children were really please with their finished dens.
