Re: Latest Advice on self-isolation
Following the latest government advice we have updated our guidance to parents.
Should a member of your household fall ill with a high temperature and/or a new, continuous cough the whole family should self-isolate for 14 days. The 14 days starts from the day the first person in the house became ill.
If this is the case then please contact the school through the usual route to report the absence and the reason for the absence.
Unfortunately, whilst the school remains open parents should be aware that teachers will not be able to set work for any students that are off school or who are self-isolating. Whilst we understand that this will be frustrating, we are sure that parents will appreciate that teachers are still having to plan, teach and assess the work of students who are present; plan and cover work for absent colleagues as well as prepare work for a possible future school closure. Parents and students will still, of course, be able to see any work set on Purple Mash, have access to Times Table Rockstars if they are in KS2 and Twinkl are offering free parent memberships for a month which you are also able to access. Go to www.twinkl.co.uk/offer
We are currently planning for a school closure to ensure we are fully prepared should we be forced to close.
We will continue to open unless staff shortages force partial or full closure. These will be communicated, should it be necessary, through our usual channels – email/text/Marvellous Me/website announcement.
Thank you for your continued support in these difficult times. Please do be aware that we have no access to any other guidance other than that which is in the public domain.
