Welcome to Kimberley Primary & Nursery School - where creativity, diversity and possibilities are at the heart of our curriculum.

Kimberley Primary School

Venus (Year 5)

My name is Mrs Wilde and I am the class teacher for Year 5.

My other roles include the KS2 leader, English lead and the mentor for trainee teachers. I have been teaching for over 23 years - which seems incredible as I don't feel old enough for that many years in the profession!

In our class this year, we have a Student Teacher, Miss Barber.

We're all looking forward to this year at Kimberley Primary School!

My name is Miss Barber, I have wanted to be a teacher for a very long time so I am very excited to be doing my teacher training this year in Year 5. In my free time I enjoy cooking/baking, especially my grandma's meat and potato pie! I also love reading so I am looking forward to sharing my love of books with the class.

I am looking forward to working with Venus class this year and hopefully meeting parents too.

Why Venus Class?

This year we've chosen to name our classes after the planets, running in order backward through the school. This means that Year 5 will be known as Venus Class. We had lots of fun learning about our class name on our transition days, including finding out facts such as: unlike the other planets in our solar system, Venus spins clockwise on its axis!
