WELCOME TO THE EARLY YEARS FOUNDATION STAGE

 

Meet the team

 

Penguin Class ( Nursery):  Mrs Clark ( Class teacher Tues-Fri),                             Miss Knapp ( Class teacher Mon) and Mrs Payne (Teaching Assistant)

Tiger Class ( Reception): Mrs Heysmond (Teacher and EYFS lead), Miss Bingham and Mrs Garner (Teaching Assistants). Mrs Clark will take us on our Welly Wednesday sessions.

Why Penguin & Tiger Class?

This year as a school we've decided to name our classes after endangered animals.

Our Curriculum

Visits and Visitors

Reverend Barbara has already visited us to talk about why Jesus is special to Christians and Mrs Hayles came to talk about her job in helping keep us safe on the road.

Last term we visited the Water Tower and Kimberley precinct as part of our local study.

This 1/2 term we are going on a trip to White Post Farm and in Summer 2 a visit to the Chapel on the Hill and St Patrick's Church in Nuthall.

Rights Respecting School - Class Charter

At KPS we are a Rights Respecting School. This means that we aim to, learn about, understand and demonstrate the rights afforded to children by the UN Convention on Children's Rights. 

 

This is our class charter for the 2023/24 academic year, focusing on children's right to rest, relax and play and to take part in cultural and creative activities.
