  • Our Nursery

Welcome to our nursery (Penguin Class)

Our nursery is overseen by our experienced EYFS leader, meaning our setting is teacher-led alongside our experienced and dedicated EYFS teaching assistants. In order to ensure our youngest pupils thrive and develop, we provide a high-quality learning environment both indoors and outdoors.

The nursery benefits from a newly constructed outdoor area. This area is secure and allows the children to experience a large outdoor play area, a permanent climbing structure, waterplay, bikes/trikes and undertake outdoor play in all weathers due to the presence of a large canopy offering shelter and shade.

Teaching follows the main principles set out in the Government's Early Years Foundation Stage Framework. Staff use this to carefully plan for the care, learning and development of all children.

    Our Nursery Day

Every child is entitled to 15 hours of childcare per week (Universal Funding) from the term after their 3rd birthday. In addition to this, there are many families able to claim 30 hours of funded childcare per week. To check your eligibility for this please visit https://childcarechoices.gov.uk

We aim to meet the needs of the families within our community as best we can and offer a range of session times. Parents requiring wraparound care for their child are also able to access our Breakfast and After-School Clubs (KPS Club). This can be utilised as part of your entitlement or as an additional payable service.

Lunch times are supervised by qualified early years teaching assistants. Hot lunches are available to purchase for a cost of £2.85 a day. These are prepared and cooked onsite. Children also have the option to bring their own packed lunch if they would prefer.
