Thank you for your interest in the position of part-time Careworker (30 hours per week) at Kimberley Primary and Nursery School from 31st August to 31st December 2021.  We are looking for a great practitioner who is passionate about supporting children in the classroom, is enthusiastic, hardworking and an excellent team player.

Kimberley Primary is a school which educates children from the ages of 3 to 11.  We have a relatively new building which is light and airy with plenty of space for our children. Our primary focus, at the present time, is to raise pupil attainment and progress through a curriculum that is designed and bespoke to the children and their families in our community. We have an enviably large outside area, a significant library and a hall which offers space for multiple activities. Behaviour is good across the school and children are keen to learn and work hard.

The role will initially be based with one child on a 1:1 basis. This will involve work both inside and outside the classroom.  You will be responsible for delivering a bespoke curriculum and planning aspects of this whilst also making the most of every opportunity to develop speaking and listening, active play and small step learning. Experience of working with children who have Downs Syndrome would be beneficial.

An application form can be downloaded by clicking 'Apply Online' above. A letter to applicants and job description can be downloaded below.

All applications should be returned to recruitment@emet.uk.com

The successful candidate will have to meet the requirements of the person specification in order to be offered the post and will be subject to an enhanced DBS check. The school is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects staff and volunteers to share this commitment. We welcome applications regardless of age, gender, ethnicity or religion.

Visits to the school are encouraged and are most welcome.  Please contact the office to make an appointment.  Should you decide you wish to be a part of our forward thinking and committed school.

The closing date for this post is 12pm on Monday 28th June 2021.
